People's Day: DCs, DLOs lead in settling public grievances

Imphal, December 16 2022: SENAPATI: For the month of December, the Senapati district administration on Friday organised the District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit at Mini Secretariat multipurpose hall, here.

During the event, various grievances and demands related to housing schemes, fisheries and ration card resolved in the presence of deputy commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari and related department officials such as DRDA, fisheries, CAF & PD, agriculture and others.

Besides, DLOs of each department opened their stalls to cater to the grievances and demands of the public.

The DC also presented 12 yarn cards of handloom & textiles office; agriculture kits (3 Knapsack sprayers; 1 field pea) of the agricultural office; and eight ration cards of CAF & PD to the listed beneficiaries.

Moreover, 58 individuals were also assessed for disability certificate generation under UDID (Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities) .

CHURACHANDPUR: The district administration organised its Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) on Friday Mini Secretariat multipurpose hall, Tuibong.

Deputy commissioner Sharath Chandra Arroju joined by all DLOs and officials from line departments interacted with the people to ensure their grievances were addressed adequately.

The DC distributed peas, onions and mustard seeds to the farmers from agriculture and horticulture departments.

As part of the event, 36 government departments set up tables.

Vaccination and health check-up counters were set up by the health department.

About 50 persons were provided free medical check-ups.

A total of 38 complaints/ applications were received out of which 21 were resolved on the spot and 17 were still pending.

Public leaders, village chiefs, CSO leaders and many people attended the event.

The district administration held the 'Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders' Day earlier this month in view of the Christmas holidays in the third week.

BISHNUPUR: Meeyamgi Numit for the month of December was organised by Bishnupur district administration at Panchayat Resource Centre, Mini Secretariat Complex on Friday.

DC Lourembam Bikram accompanied by Addl SP, SDOs, BDOs and DLOs heard the grievances of the people.

H Bobby Sharma, ADM and Ejaj Hasssan, AC to DC, ensured the smooth conduct of the event.

Addressing the gathering, DC Bikram reiterated that the success of any welfare scheme depends on the active participation and support of the people.

Stating that every day is a Meeyamgi Numit for the district administration, the DC encouraged the people to register grievances or complaints on any matter and not necessarily confined to enrolment for welfare schemes and benefits.

Around 100 persons including officials participated in the day's event.

The officials concerned provided services related to CMHT, old age pension, widow pension, ration card, land and revenue matters and PM Kishan among others.

Various line departments including chief medical officer, district social welfare, CAF & PD, district industries centre and UCO bank set up stalls to facilitate services for the people.

THOUBAL: Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) was successfully organised by the district administration on Friday at the Counting Hall of DC's Office Complex for the month of December.

DC A Subhash along with DLOs heard various grievances and demands of the public.

Speaking to the media, Subhash expressed happiness that large number of people turn up every month to avail benefits of various government schemes and declared that the district administration is committed to solving various problems and grievances of the public at the earliest in collaboration with the departments concerned.

The deputy commissioner also distributed cheques to 11 children whose parents were victims of Covid-19 as part of the CM Bal Seva/ Chief Minister gi Angangi Tangbang (CMAT) scheme.

CMHT cards were also distributed to four beneficiaries and certificates to 20 street food vendors who successfully participated in the street food vendors training programme conducted on November 23 by the New Association Street Vendor of India under the initiative of Food Safety Administration, Thoubal.

Around 107 written applications were received related to CMHT card, old age & widow pension card, and grievances related to other departments like PHED, police and MSPDCL among others.

Twenty stalls of different departments including police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, veterinary, agriculture and fishery were opened to meet the demands of the public.

SP Jogeshchandra Haobijam, ADM B Lokeshor Sharma, CMO Dr Y Nokul, all SDOs and DLOs of different departments attended the day's programme.
