Laying down arms before Chief Minister O Ibobi, three UG cadres belonging to the UNLF, KYKL and PULF surrendered to the State Government today.
The UG cadres surrendered at the Chief Minister's Secretariat in the presence of DGP Y Joykumar and other high ranking police officials.

The surrendered UG cadres are identified as M Romen alias Shajibu (UNLF) of Sagolband Tera Lukram Leirak, Sougaijam Jiten Meitei alias Bijen (KYKL) of Kakching Wairi, Sougaijam Pareng and Md Alamgir Shah alias Rohit alias Rajen (PULF) of Thoubal Moijing.
Romen surrendered along with one 9 mm pistol, a magazine and 18 live rounds.
He had received 5 months military training in Tannang, Myanmar and was a private bearing army no 2058.Romen belonged to UNLF's 242 Bn and was last posted at Angkoching.
He joined UNLF in 2006.Jiten joined KYKL in 2003 and was trained at Lunjang, Chandel district.
He was a lance corporal of the outfit bearing army number 266.He too brought one 9 mm pistol, a magazine and 14 live rounds.
Alamgir Shah surrendered along with one AK rifle, 7 live rounds and a modified magazine.
He received military training as a PLA cadre in Hinglam under Singhat sub-division of Churachandpur district before he was arrested by police in 2000.After his release on bail, he joined PULF in the same year.
