Projects invited for participation in Natl Level Science Model Making Competition

A National Level Science Model Making Competition for Students and Teachers under the banner of Jignyasa-2015 will be held from January 7 to 9 next year at Hubli, Karnataka.
Students studying in classes VI to X along with teachers can take part in the competition, said a press statement released by Agastya International Foundation, Vidyanagar, Hubli.

The National level competition is being held with the objective of fostering scientific curiosity, creativity among students and teachers to provide a platform to exhibit and share their knowledge and passion for science through interaction with peers and audiences.
Total Prize money of Jignyasa-15 is around Rs. Lakhs and nearly 20,000 people including students, parents, teachers, Government Officials, policy makers, entrepreneurs, industrialists and general public from various parts of the country are expected to witness the event.
Programmes like popular science lectures, science toys and books exhibition, students- scientist samvad, see and interpret the event, and cultural programs will also be part of the event.
The last date of submission of synopsis is December 31, while selected projects for participation will be announced on January 4 next.
The selected projects from students/teachers will receive support from Agastya International Foundation in terms of train fare for one student and one teacher per project.
Food and accommodation will also be provided free of cost, added the statement.
