Imphal, July 20 2009: Even though court has directed state government to take up measures to protect life of a school teacher, Army personnel continued searching the teacher apart from giving strong pressure to have personal talk with them.

The teacher Md Junab Ali alias Jakir (38) son of late Abdul Jalil of Mayang Imphal serving as teacher in a government run Irong LP Madrasa today lamenting that his life is still under threat from the security personnel as drew the attention of the government with regard to his life security. Speaking to media persons today, Md Janab Khan recalled that his elder brother md Abdul Kalam Azad alias Azad was the chairman of the PULF (Azad) faction till he was killed in encounter on March 7 this year by the security forces at a place under Irilbung police station while his younger brother Abdul Rehman who is the chief of the army of the PULF faction has been arrested in Tripura by the police.

His brothers had no link with the family since they had joint the outlaw organization in any way.

But when his elder brother Azad was alive, Army and police commandos frequently visited their home and asked for him.

In one of the instant when he was going with his two local friends, some armed men in civil dress attack on them and killed one of his friend who was a home guard personnel by the police commandos in a mysterious circumstance occurred as soon as they were under attack by the civil dress persons.

In the aftermath of the incident, stating that he is life is under threat, his mother Sanarei approached the Manipur Human Rights Commission.

The commission in response to her plea directed state home department and DGP to take up steps to protect his life.

In response to a petition filed in the Guwahati High Court, the court also directed the home department and DGP for taking up the necessary action to secure his life, Janab added.

Following the directive of the court, police at Mayang Imphal police station asked him if he had any problem with regard to his life.

But Army and Central security forces frequently came to his house and search his whereabouts which make insecure to his life.

On July 17 last, a man said to be Army personnel called him over phone and asked to meet at Mayang Imphal Telephone Exchange office on coming July 22.Later, he was again informed to meet at his home or at Irong Mayai Leikai near Ideal Public School.

As an innocent citizen of the state, he has decided not to meet with the Army personnel and appealed all concerns to allow him live without any fear and threats.
