Congress poll offices bombed, set aflame

With the Assembly election round the corner, setting ablaze election offices of Indian National Congress by unidentified persons has increased of late.
Unidentified miscreants hurled a bomb and exploded at an election office of Indian National Congress at Singjamei Waikhom Leikai today at around 8:30pm. The election office was constructed at the gate of one Sagolsem Tombi of Singjamei Waikhom Leikai.
Though no one was hurt in the incident, the blast flattened the tyres of a Hyundai Santro belonging to Sagolsem Somananda, nephew of S Tombi, which was park in the courtyard.
Information culled from the site of the incident said that unidentified miscreants who came in a white Hero Honda Karizma hurled the bomb and sped towards Singjamei bazaar.

and MLA Bijoy Koijam arrived at the spot for inspection after the blast.
Meanwhile, an election office of INC was burnt down by unknown miscreants at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai yesterday at 3 am.
At Lamlai Bazar, unknown persons tried to set on fire another election office of Congress at around 7:30 pm yesterday.
The bomb blast at Minister Jayenta's house and Singjamei Waikhom Leikai, burning down of Congress election office at Kwakeithel and the incident at Lamlai Challao are believed to be the handiwork of CorCom.
