Thoubal, January 30 2025: A special Gram Sabha meeting of Leirongthel-Ningel Gram Panchayat under Wangjing-Tentha CD Block was held today at Library cum Panchayat Ghar of Heitroipokpi, Yairipokpi Khoirom Mathak Leikai.

The special Gram Sabha held as part of People's Plan Campaign, 2025-26 discussed on Finalization of Thematic Panchayat Development Plan 2023-24 and 2024-25, Finalization of Thematic Panchayat Development plan for financial year, 2025-26 and Preparation of probable beneficiary list for AWASS plus 2024 survey and others.

The sabha was attended by Wangkhem Zilla Parishad and Thoubal Zilla Parishad, Adhyaksha, Kh Sobha as chief guest, Leirongthel-Ningel Gram Panchayat, Administrative Committee chairman, Salam Kumar as president and Panchayat secretary Md Salamuddin and ward members as guests of honour.

The event also witnessed participation of various officials from departments like Fishery, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Bank, Veterinary, PWD, ICDS, MSPDCL, Forest, etc.

The officials during the event spoke on various welfare schemes and services launched by the State and Central Government for the welfare of people.
