Fresher's Meet cum Felicitation Programme

Kangpokpi, September 08 2012: In collaboration with EIMI Students' Fellowship, which is a fellowship constituted by all the non-Naga tribal; Kuki Students' Organisation, Sadar Hills organized a Fresher's Meet especially for Kuki students studying in Don Bosco College, Maram and Mt.

Everest College, Taphou, Senapati under the theme "Know Thy Roots" at Kanggui Christian College, Kangpokpi today.

The function was graced by Nemcha Kipgen, MLA Kangpokpi AC and Doulet Khongsai, Principal, Kanggui Christian College as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen appreciated the organizing Committee and encouraged the freshers to struggle hard to achieve their goal.

She also advised the students to follow the words of their parents if they want to become well known persons in future.

Appreciating the theme "Know Thy Roots" of the programme, the MLA noted that to become a real human being, everyone should know their origin or roots.

Advising the students to keep one straight aim and struggle hard to achieve the same, she also discouraged use of unfair means in the examination.

On the occasion, MLA presented mementos to 13 students who excel in the last Council and University Examinations.

The students are N.William Lhouvum (5th rank in Commerce, Cl-XII), Lutginlal Kipgen ( BA Sociology 3rd rank), M.Anthony Haokip (BA Sociology 4th rank), Keinjo Gangte( BA Sociology 8th rank), Bosco Jangtinpao Chongloi ( BA English 1st rank), Thathang Lhouvum ( BA English 2nd rank), Mercy Touthang (BA English 5th rank), Vumsuanmang (B.Sc Chemistry 6th rank), M.Pausianthang (B.Sc.Chemistry 9th rank), Seikhohao Touthang (B.Sc.Botany 5th rank), Liansuanmung Guite (BA History 1st rank), Lian Jonathan (BA Pol.Sc.

6th rank) and Peter Dousuanmung (BCA 2nd rank) .

The organizing Committee selected Miss Lhingngaiching, B.Sc.1st Semester and Mr.Lamginmang Hangshing, BA 1st Semester as Miss and Mr.Fresher's 2012 respectively.
