Imphal, September 28 2026: Assam Rifles rolled out a comprehensive series of communitycentric initiatives across Manipur, focusing on women's empowerment, vocational skill building, veteran welfare and legal awareness to foster peace and inclusive development.

Under Project PRANITA, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Marriott Hotels, facilitated career opportunities in the hospitality sector for 29 local women from Churachandpur district, said a press release by the Assam Rifles.

Following a tailored professional development capsule conducted at the UNAU Skill Development Centre in Khuga by life coach Simrat Ahluwalia, offer letters were presented during a ceremony at Rayburn College on 19 September 2026.The training focused on communication skills, workplace etiquette and confidence building, preparing the candidates to join on-the-job training modules across the country by early October 2026.In another such initiative of reinforcing vocational self-reliance, Assam Rifles distributed 22 sewing machines worth Rs 2.00 lakh to the women members of a CSO at Kangpokpi district under the Civic Action Programme on 28 September 2026, said the release.
