WMO brands Kuki narco-terrorists 'biggest liars'

Asserting that for over 40 years Kukis endeavoured to draw sympathy of the global fraternity by fabricating history and propagating false narratives, World Meetei Organisation (WMO) has branded Kuki narco-terrorists as the 'biggest liars' Addressing media persons at its Langol office, WMO president Chingtham Chandramani stressed on the need for unity and vigilance among the Meeteis during this period of crisis.
Stating that the WMO was formed with the primary objective of unifying the Meetei community, he cautioned that for over 40 years, Kukis have executing plans to distort historical facts of Manipur and disseminate false propaganda to forge international alliances.
He also disclosed that over the past 40 to 50 years, Kukis have distorted Manipur's history by inventing events such as the "Anglo-Kuki War", a fabrication not found in the historical records of Manipur.
They have even constructed a memorial gate in purported commemoration of this event.
Through deceitful propaganda, they laid claim to Imphal as their ancestral homeland and sought the attention of the international community.
Given these circumstances, the role of the Meeteis is immensely significant.
Consequently, WMO established its women's wing to expand these roles.
A total number of 12 members including its president, vice president and general secretary in addition to two advisors have been appointed for the newly formed women's wing, he said.
