BOSEM assures full cooperation in question leak probe

Imphal, March 02 2025: While praising the Cyber Crime Police for arresting two primary suspects involved in the leakage of the question paper for the ongoing High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLCE), Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) controller of examinations Ayam Thoi, stated that the board would provide full cooperation in all investigations to identify and apprehend everyone responsible for the leak.

The Social Science question paper for the Class X examination was leaked half an hour before commencement of the exam and was shared on social media, prompting BOSEM to file a complaint at the cybercrime police station.

Addressing media persons at the Board's Babupara office, here, on Sunday, Ayam Thoi said BOSEM officials have been working tirelessly to ensure the fair conduct of the HSLC exam.

However, following the leak of the Social Science paper, BOSEM promptly filed a complaint, which led to the arrest of two individuals involved in the case, a response that Thoi described as praiseworthy.

Ongoing investigations are focused on identifying others involved, if any, in the scam, he confiding, assuring that BOSEM would extend fullest cooperation to the cybercrime police in order to ensure that the guilty persons face appropriate action as per the law of the land.

The steps to be initiated after the police investigation will be decided in consultation with the BOSEM committee, Ayam Thoi added.

He also appealed to all concerned to cooperate in ensuring the exam is conducted fairly and transparently.
