SheChef competition enters 2nd day

Ukhrul, October 17 2019: Day 2 of SheChef 2019 was conducted successfully today at TNL Ground, Ukhrul.

SheChef (earlier known as ShiChef) is a cooking competition organised by Popa Restaurant in collaboration with Exotic School of Cooking as part of the Shirui Lily Festival 2019 .

It is opened for only women under the banner of "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" .

As today's theme of the competition was 'Fusion", the contestants were asked to cook an indigenous dish with a slight twist of modern or contemporary cuisines.

Following which, the contestants prepared indigenous dishes of pork, beef and chicken with their own twists.

As per the rules, the cooking happened for an hour followed by the judging round.

The contestants explained their dishes, provided their recipes and also answered different questions from the judges regarding their dishes.

The judges commented in the end that the contestants have improved from Day 1 in their overall performance.

The competition will continue for two more days with different themes for cooking.
