Imphal, October 03 2026: As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva - 2026 campaign, cleanliness programmes were held at various places in Imphal West.

The Deputy Commissioner/Executive Director, DRDA, Imphal West observed the campaign at DC Complex, Lamphelpat on Friday under PMKSY-WDC 2.0 .

Project Officer, WCDC staff, WDTs and officials of DC Complex took part in a cleanliness drive and tree plantation within the complex premises.

Similar programmes were also held across six watershed villages under PMKSY-WDC 2.0 - Bitra Urokhong, Chongtham Kona, Hayel, Laphupat Tera, Samusang and Uchiwa, with participation of Watershed Secretaries, User Groups, PSME beneficiaries and local youth.

Awareness on waste management and composting was also imparted.

Meanwhile, 143 Battalion CRPF conducted a Shramdaan cleaning drive on Friday at Khulem Leikai Park, Imphal West, with participation of its officers and jawans along with park committee members, local citizens, youth and children.

A Swachhata pledge was also taken.
