Imphal, September 28 2016: Former Medical Director Dr Thiyam Suresh has accused his son-in-law Laishram Ronal of not only creating a scene at the office of a women's organisation but also trying to abduct his daughter.

Talking to reporters at his residence, Dr Suresh said that his daughter Gaytri has been living with him since the past few months as she is separated from his son-in-law.

A case of domestic violence and custody of the couple's four-month-old son is still pending in the Court, Dr Suresh said.

On September 24 at around 9.30 pm, Ronal came along with some of his associates and tried to break open the door of Women Voluntary Organisation run under the Union Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, Dr Suresh said.

He said that the office is located at the eastern side of his Keishamthong Laishom Leirak residence and Ronal might be thinking that Gaytri was staying there at the time.

He said that Ronal and his associates who came in his silver coloured Nissan Terrano car (MN01-S-3396) and two other four wheeler vehicles assaulted the chowkidar of the office and it was clearly seen in CCTV footages.

Dr Suresh said that after hearing the noise, Meira Paibees of the locality rushed there and caught Ronal and his team while creating unwanted scenes.

However, they were later freed in good faith considering the prestige of his family, Dr Suresh said.

He further said that Gaytri had made a formal written complaint at Imphal police station yesterday, however there is no report of any arrest or detention so far.

Dr Suresh said that Laishram Ronal, his father Dr Sukumar and their family must be held responsible if anything unwanted happens to his daughter.

Dr Suresh said that Sana Janmasthan Club executive member Y Sanatomba and Women Voluntary Organisation representative Sharmila went to Ronal's house to settle the matter.

However, some youth damaged their vehicle and injured the driver on his head, Dr Suresh said.

Gaytri said that she married with Ronal in 2011 and settled at Bengaluru for some years.

She said that both of them left their jobs and returned to Manipur to settle permanently in 2013.However, after staying in Imphal for some months, Ronal went to Bengaluru again and stayed there alone.

During that time she gave birth to a baby boy and Ronal was not there at the time of their son's delivery, Gaytri said.

Recently she went along with her child to Bengaluru to meet Ronal.

After reaching there, she had some altercations with Ronal, Gaytri said.

One evening, Ronal and his mother took the baby for a walk and never returned home, she said and added that she later came to know that the mother-son duo had gone to Imphal along with the baby.

Gaytri said that she complained the matter to a nearby police station and managed to return to Manipur with the help of Bengaluru Helpline.

She said that she has been staying at her parental home ever since she came to Manipur.

Stating that her son is currently with Ronal, Gaytri said that a case is pending in the Court regarding custody of the baby.
