Keishamthong schools inspected

Imphal, May 22 2017:
Education Minister Th Radheshyam and Health Minister L Jayantakumar inspected Haobam Marak HA High School and the Ngasi Rastralipi High School of Keishamthong constituency today.
The Education Minister said that health and education are two main components for the development of a society as education nurture human values and knowledge and good health brings calmness to the mind, inner strength and self-confidence.
Both the Ministers heard the grievances of the teachers and locals pertaining to various issues including shortage of infrastructure and deterioration of the academic atmosphere.
Jayantakumar said that there are certain problems and issues related to the school teachers and assured to try his best to solve them.
He pointed out that students are the soul of an educational institution and the teachers should try their best to understand them and bring it up to the authority concerned so that the issues could be addressed and solved at the right time.
As a means of motivating and encouraging the teachers to bring a positive change in the education system, the Minister said that a brainstorming session would be organised as soon as possible in a suitable school.
The Minister expressed disappointment with the fact that some rooms of the Ngasi Rastralipi High School were occupied by a student organisation as their office and said that such act is not acceptable and the organisation should have taken prior permission from the Department concerned.
He further assured that all issues would be discussed by the Government to carry out the needful.
Th Radheshyam stated that schools are like temples where the children are getting knowledge for their future and abolishing a school is not the right choice, instead development of the schools should be encouraged for the benefit of future generations.
He further urged the people to come together and to try to restore the fame of Government schools.
