MEELAL has strongly objected to inclusion of only a few pages written in Meetei Mayek in the guidebook published by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) for the Primary School teachers.
On the other hand, Director of SCERT N Debala has assured that more pages written in Meetei Mayek would be included in the guidebook in the next edition.
Talking to mediapersons in this connection at SCERT complex this afternoon, MEELAL secretary (education) said that after detection of only a few pages written in Meetei Mayek in the two guidebooks published by SCERT which have already been started distribution among the teachers of the Primary Schools, a complaint had been lodged today.
In the subsequent editions, the guidebooks should be written only in Meetei Mayek and distribution of the first edition should be stopped at once.
On the other hand, talking to mediapersons at her office chamber, Director of SCERT N Debala assured that more pages written in Meetei Mayek would be included in the subsequent editions of the guidebooks.
