Imphal, January 02 2012: Imphal East District Police Commandos have arrested one RPF/PLA cadre identified as Khangembam Bobo alias Ibotombi (40) s/o Kh Suresh Singh of Kakwa Lilando Lampak from Kakwa in front of United Social Amateur Club at around 7 am on December 31, 2011 .

According to a statement issued by SP of Imphal East District, one 32 pistol loaded with two live rounds in the magazine was recovered from the possession of the arrested RPF/PLA, who on verification disclosed that he had been earlier arrested in 2001 but released on bail.

Furthermore, the arrested cadre disclosed that he had collected a huge amount of money from general public, the statement added.

On the same day at about 10.45 am, Imphal West District Police Commandos also arrested one active member of RPF from North AOC, Imphal acting on credible information.

Identifying the arrested RPF man as Maibam Chandrajit Singh (29) s/o late M Munal Singh of Singjamei Wangma Kongba Road, SP of Imphal West District informed that on spot verification, Chandrajit disclosed he had exhorted money from government employees and general public under the instruction of S/S captain Nongpoknganba of the outfit for party fund.

On the other hand, Commandos of Thoubal District Police have arrested another RPF/PLA cadre identified as Elangbam Sham Singh (38) s/o E Ningthemjao Singh of Khangabok Lamlong Bazar Part-III at about 7 am yesterday, according to a statement issued by SP of Thoubal District K Jayanta Singh today.

Meanwhile, PRO Assam Rifles has conveyed the arrest of one PREPAK cadre by troops of 27 Assam Rifles of 9 sector under HQ IGAR (South) during an operation launched in the general area of Wabagai Tera Pishak on January 1, 2012 .

The arrested PREPAK cadre has been identified as Army no.3088, SS Pvt H Suresh Singh alias Black Day (43) s/o H Ibomcha of Wabagai Tera Pishak.
