CCpur, December 23 2016:
Former Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing today set foot on his home constituency for the first time following the JACAATB boycott call on him other tribal MLAs sixteen months ago and paid floral tributes to the memorial of his late wife and held talks with the Deputy Commissioner.
The former Minister was particularly at the receiving end as he was the Minister in-charge of the district when the 'anti-tribal' Bills protest erupted last September with his house and the memorial park of his late wife completely ravaged by protestors.
With the State Assembly election imminent, other MLAs from the district have made in roads to the district on several occasions but today's visit is the first for him after the unrest and as an MLA, after losing his Cabinet seat.
