Imphal, September 25 2017:
Expressing strong grievances against the way a walk-in-interview was held for recruitment of guest lecturers at the Department of Dance and Music, Manipur University, the Indrajit Memorial Cultural Institute has appealed to the authority concerned to review the interview process .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, the institute's secretary Moirangthem Randolph alleged that there was not a single applicant at the walk-in-interview who fulfilled the qualifications as prescribed in the notification issued by MU on September 14 .
Many irrelevant questions were asked to candidates during the interview which started at 10 am and continued till 5 pm but documents which ought to examined carefully were not examined .
There was no subject expert among the interview board and even though they asked dance and music, they did not define which genres they were asking about, Randolph alleged .
Only casual questions like names, years of completing Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree were asked.
As such, the whole interview process needs to be reviewed, he said.
