World Environment Day observed

As part of the Nationwide campaign "Plant4Mother", Khongnangthaba University has taken an important stride towards promoting environmental sustainability by observing World Environment Day.
According to a release issued by Khongnangthaba University, the initiative was taken in response to the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to encourage citizens to plant trees as a tribute to their mothers and contribute to preserving & protecting Mother Earth.
Yesterday, a tree plantation drive was inaugurated by Dr Aribam Guneshwor Sharma, Dean & Director, Khongnangthaba University (AYUSH) .
The campus echoed with enthusiasm from faculty members, staff and students who took active interest in the tree plantation drive.
Notably, the university will develop dedicated green space as part of the larger Matri Van initiative to further bridge the gap in realising the national goal of planting 80 crores saplings before September 2024 and a total of 140 crores saplings by March 2025 through MoEF&CC .
