Community hall, YVO office inaugurated

MOBC and Fishery Minister Md Alauddin Khan has inaugurated the Community Hall of Waithou Chiru village today.
The inauguration function was attended by MOBC and Fishery Minister Md Alaudin Khan as chief guest, executive member SH-ADC ML Dominic Kansouwa as president, member of 12 Bamon Kampu Zilla Parishad Dk Tomui Dangsawa, member ADC Tamenglong Alar Thoitak, Kiyamgei Arapti Pradhan W Ranjit, Keirao Langdum Pradhan A Hemanta and Councillor of Lilong Nagar Panchayat W Premananda Singh as presidium members respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister Alauddin said that the community hall was built through 50 percent equal contributions from the fund of Manipur Development Society and local area development fund of the constituency.
He maintained that existence of such hall in the area could serve the conveniences of the people in conducting various ceremonies and functions.
Appealing the people to preserve the hall as their own, the Minister further asserted that living together in peace and harmony among all communities of the State could only bring speedy development in Manipur.
He also assured the villagers that rice and kerosene of the assembly constitution would be provided tomorrow in connection with the Christmas festival.
Executive member of Sadar Hills ADC ML Dominic maintained that developmental works taken up by the State Government should be focused both in valley and hill areas.
Organised by hall construction committee of the village, Dominic further mentioned that equal sharing of opportunities by hills and valley people could assist in the overall development process of the State.
In another occasion, the inauguration function of Yaiskul Volunteers Organisation's office building was also held today.
PWD Minister K Ranjit, Chairman of Planning and Development Dr Kh Loken Singh, Sangeet Natak Academy Awardee L Binodkumar, Padmashree RK Jhaljit Singh, olympian and YAC president P Nilakomol, and MPCC general secretary Senjam Bidyapati were the chief guest, president and guests of honours of the function.
Addressing in the function, Minister Ranjit spoke on the requirement of strengthening local sports clubs as these are the only hubs that produced good sportspersons in the State.
