People protest PULF's slur

Imphal, November 14 2009: A large number of local people of Irilbung staged a protest demonstration there today against the allegation levelled against two shop-keeper brothers by the militant group PULF.

A press release issued the outfit's deputy publicity secretary Arif Khan and published in some sections of the media on November 12 accused Sanasam Raghumani and Sanasam Inaocha of Irilbung Machahal of acting against the party.

However, the local people rejected the allegation maintaining that the two brothers are innocent civilians running grocery stores at Irilbung Machahal.

They appealed to the PULF to retract their decision of taking up stringent action against the two brothers.

The protest demonstration was also participated by people coming from Irilbung, Keirao and Bamon Kampu.
