Accompanied by IFC Minister N Biren, PDA Chairman Dr Kh Loken and other officials, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today inspected dredging of the Nambul river and other developmental works being taken up in Khwairamband market area here today.
Seeing the garbages that have been thrown inside the river by the people settling on either side of the river banks, the Chief Minister expressed concern and appealed to all concerned to stop dumping garbages into the river.
The Chief Minister also surveyed the Khwai bridge being constructed over Nambul river and Maharani bridge over Naga river.
He also inspected the progress of the work on Lakshmi Bazar and drainage along either sides of Paona Market.
After the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the officials concerned to ensure early completion of the developmental works being taken up by the Government so the benefits could be enjoyed by the people.
