Kpi/Tbl/Tpl, November 20 2019: Gracing the District Level Healthy Mother & Baby Competition 2019 organized by District Health Society Kangpokpi today at District Immunization Office, DC Kangpokpi, Lalithambigai Kalidas (IAS) exhorted the people of Kangpokpi to eat healthy and stay fit to make Kangpokpi a place full of healthy people.

The District Level Healthy Mother and Baby Competition was attended by the Deputy Commissioner as chief guest while Dr Kimneng Misao, District Mission Director/CMO DHS Kangpokpi attended as functional president in the presence of various other medical officers including Dr Paotinlal Haokip, MS i/c District Hospital Kangpokpi and other MOs.

Screening of healthy mother and baby in three categories began since 9.30 am in the morning under the examination of five doctors while the results have been declared in the afternoon in a simple function held in the presence of DC Kangpokpi.

In category I (6 months to 11 months), Chongsenhoi Kipgen d/o Kaigin Kipgen of Keithelmanbi bagged the first position while Lammonthang Kipgen s/o Lenjakhup Kipgen of Kangpokpi, and Nengdeichin Lotzem d/o Haosanga Lotzem of S Changoubung bagged the second and third position respectively.

In category II (12 months to 23 months), Lhingnunvah Chongloi d/o Khupminlen Chongloi of Kangpokpi bagged the first position while Lunsangla Touthang s/o Biaklun Touthang of Laikot village, and Seilunneng Chongloi d/o John Chongloi of Kangpokpi bagged the second and third position respectively.

In category III (24 months to 36 months), Kriss Satminlun Singsit s/o Paolenmang Singsit of Keithelmanbi bagged the first position while Lamgunsang Singsit s/o Mangminlal Singsit of Kangpokpi, and Seigunchung s/o Haominthang of Kangpokpi bagged the second and third position respectively.

The first position holders in the three categories were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 4000 each along with certificate and the second position holders received a cash prize of Rs 2500 each with certificate while the third position holders got Rs 1500 in cash along with certificate.

According to the District Health Society official, the first position holders in the categories will also represent the district in the State Level Healthy Mother and Baby Competition.

DC Kangpokpi, Lalithambigai Kalidas urged the mothers of Kangpokpi to learn to say 'No' to their child when it comes to eating habits as the child will demand whatsoever he/she wants to eat but the mother should avoid giving unhealthy food to the child by saying 'No' even if the child asked for.

She also congratulated all the mothers participating in the event and motivated them to promote and practice 'Eat healthy to stay healthy' along with their child while wishing the winners of the competition as well as the people of Kangpokpi and those who are going to represent the district in the state level to make Kangpokpi proud by saying that we are healthy.

thoubal: District Health Society Thoubal has organised a District level healthy baby show competition at the conference hall of NHM, CMO complex, Thoubal Wangmataba, today.

The competition was conducted in three categories (6 to 11 months (Group-A); 12 to 23 months (Group-B) and 24 to 35 months Group-C) .

In Group-A, Takhellambam Poirei Meitei, s/o Anand and Biju of Wangjing Wangkhei, clinched the first position while Salaingamba Saikhon, s/o Imocha and Indira of Khangabok Part-III and Nevada Waikhom, d/o of Sonamani and Joshi of Thoubal Pakhongkhong Leirak took the second and third positions respectively.

The first, second and third positions of Group B contest went to Huidrom Sinthangambi Chanu, d/o Singhjit and Joshil of Uyal Awang Leikai, Henthoiba Asem, s/o Aboycha and Noyon Devi of Athokpam Makha Leikai and Ningthoujam Malemnganbi Devi, d/o Ibungo and Ibema Devi of Heirok Part-III respectively.

Chongtham Nanaomacha Singh, s/o Bikram and Sandhya of Arapti Maning Leikai; Khundrakpam Korounganba, s/o Herojit and Pushpa of Heirok Part-I and Khundrakpam Merinda Chanu, d/o of Thoiba and Puja took home the first, second and third positions respectively of Group C contest.

The winners of the three groups will represent Thoubal District in the upcoming State level Baby Show Contest-2019 which is slated to be held on November 22 at Imphal.

As part of the programme, District Administration Thoubal and District Health Society Thoubal distributed certificates to all the mother who immunised there daughters regularly.

The programme was attended by Thoubal Deputy Commissioner, N Bandana Devi, CMO Thoubal, Dr N Jayantakumar Singh and District Family Officer, Dr Ksh Memcha Devi as the presidium members.

Tengnoupal: District Health Society Tengnoupal also organised a District level healthy baby show competition at Moreh Hospital.

The competition was conducted in three groups and the winners were feted certificates and cash awards.
