Lamka, November 03:
Even though the public meeting convened here today by JAC and CDSU over the NIT imbroglio was postponed for November 6 due to unforeseen circumstances, Kim Gangte declined to rule out any hidden agenda' on the whole spell adopted by Ibobi led SPF Government.
After informing the gathering that the meeting has been postponed to Tuesday, former outer Manipur MP Kim Gangte spelled out in detail why the JAC against construction of NIT in Lamphelpat and Langol has taken its protest outside.
CDSU being the first to offer an alternative site for constructing NIT and the first to demand so, the former MP said the JAC has chosen its movement to Churachandpur and not because it was a hill district.
Another reason being, an invitation for the same from CDSU, she said adding, if we are also invited in Bishnupur and Senapati we will definitely do the same'.
When asked, if the JAC was trying to sell their movement in Churachandpur merely with the intention of realizing the call to protect their land, she responded negatively.
When barren lands were offered atleast in three alternative places, Kim wondered why the Government was dead frozen against the alternative proposals.
Though she refrained from accusing the Government of containing a hidden agenda in the entire episodes of preferring Langol and Lamphelpat for the NIT site, she nevertheless declined to rule out the same.
And, it is fishy that even the centre team that visited the State in connection with NIT site selection approved the State Government's proposal without the slightest flinch, she went on.
They even seemed inclined to that agenda as they did't bother to set their foot on the site, another companion of her said, augmenting their skepticism.
