Poetry book "21 Suba Chahi Chagee Ima" released

Bishnupur, April 28 2024: The book release ceremony of "21 Suba Chahi Chagee Ima" written by Bhavini Aribam was held at Ibudhou Eshing Chaiba Thel organised by Poirei Kumhou Khorjei Lup (PKKL) Kumbi.

The poetry book which contains 66 poems was released by N ZEO, Zone IV Bishnupur.

The book release ceremony was attended by N Chingkhei, ZEO, Zone IV, Bishnupur as the chief guest; W Bijoy, president, Poirei Kumhou Khorjei Lup Kumbi as the functional president and W Priyoranjan, Chairperson, Kumbi Municipal Council; Dr Rajkumar Gunchandra Singh, founder, president, IMAKOL Awang Potshangbam and writer Bhabini Aribam as the guests of honour.

On the occasion, Kh Gyanibushan Singh, founder member PKKL Kumbi and Principal Kumbi College presented an introduction to the poetry book and its message before the gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, ZEO N Chingkhei stated that writing poems, dramas or novels require an innate talent.

Stating that not everybody is blessed with this gift, he urged authors to write in a way that will create a better society and enlighten people.

He further urged them to not only lead society on the right path, but sow the seed for positive transformation through their writings.

On the occasion Bhabini Aribam shared that her poetry book depicts the struggles faced by Manipuri women in today's society.

Readers will also be able to catch a glimpse of Manipuri tradition and culture as well as contributions of women through the book, said the author.

Towards the end of the ceremony, around 20 female writers presented their original poetry before the audience.
