LIMIT backs Malem Thongam's peace ride

Imphal, October 03 2026: Lamyanba Irawat Memorial Integrated Trust (LIMIT) Manipur has extended full support to social activist Malem Thongam's upcoming Kashmir to Mizoram Peace Solo Ride and appealed to the people of Manipur to support him.

Malem, who has been leading democratic agitations for restoration of peace after more than three years of crisis in the State, was earlier detained 31 times by Delhi and State police and was also jailed.

His earlier Delhi to Imphal "Cycling for Peace" campaign in 2025 was blocked at Kangpokpi, 13 km short of Imphal, by COTU .

The ride will start from Lal Chowk, Srinagar and cover 22 States before concluding at Solomon's Temple, Aizawl, Mizoram.

He submitted his route map to the President of India's office on October 1 .
