Due to the fuel shortage, some retail outlets have stopped giving fuel while few others are still opened, and long queues could be seen even late into the evening.
Speaking to media persons, CAF&PD Minister Karam Shyam said that the Government has made necessary preparations to distribute fuels to the people through petrol pumps on rotational basis.
He explained that the pumps will provide 3 litres of fuel to two wheelers, 5 litres to four wheelers and 10 litres to trucks and other heavy vehicles.
Announcing a ban on taking fuels in containers with immediate effect so as to avoid malpractices, the Minister urged the retail outlets to refrain from indulging in unethical practices in the interest of the public.
