Active cases drop to 4

Imphal, May 16 2022: The total number of Covid-19 active cases in the State has declined to just four and all of them belong to the general population after four persons were reported as discharged cases only today.On the other hand, there was neither any report of Covid-19 positive case nor of Covid related death during the last 24 hours even though the pandemic has already claimed 2120 lives in the State.

Altogether 68 samples were tested during the last 24 hours and all of them turned out to be negative.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,230 (general population 1,32,216 and Central security personnel 5,014) .

This figure includes 1,35,106 recovered cases (general population 1,30,099 and Central security personnel 5,007) .

The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.45 per cent.

The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,70,510 (first dose 15,63,601, second dose 12,16,097 and precautionary dose 90,812) .

Till Sunday, 61.75 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 51.70 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
