Humour
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
I have been looking for something
In a multitude of things
And I cannot see it.
Or is it somebody?
A face!
A face that turns heads to look at!
Here in this dark void
No nightingales sing.
I cannot see, I cannot hear;
It is awful.
Last night was deadly dull
And this morning is no different.
The sunrise smells musty and stale
Heralding the end the world
Our old, brave world
Perhaps, it is the hangovers
That distorts my sense of taste-
Breakfast is tasteless
And the concern of my wife unnecessary.
The world is too hot to touch.
Ah! my muse has deserted me
And today is not simply my day.
