VACANCIES FOR FIELD SROs AND ROs IN GATS-INDIA PROJECT

Applications are invited for the following ad-hoc posts for Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS)-India Project funded by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, New Delhi and World Health Organization (WHO).

All appointments will be purely on contract basis as per the need of the project. These posts are mainly to monitor the field work and data collection under GATS-India Project. The study will cover all the States & two Union Territories of India.

There is requirement of field SROs & field ROs who must be well conversant in one or more of the following 18 major Indian languages (Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Konkani, Assamese, Bengali, Garo, Khasi, Gujarati, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Nagamese, Oriya, Punjabi, Nepali and Hindi). TA/DA is admissible during field work as per the Institute's rules.

(1) Senior Research Officer (SRO)

a. No. of Post: Five

b. Qualification required:
Ph.D. in Demography or Social Sciences or Mathematics/Statistics plus some experience in data collection / M. Phil. in Population Studies (IIPS) plus one year experience / MPS in Population Studies (IIPS) with two years experience/ Masters Degree in any Social Sciences or Mathematics/ Statistics plus four years experience.

c. Pay: 15,000/- P.M.

d. Age: Not more than 35 years

(2) Research Officer (RO)

a. No. of Post: Seventeen

b. Qualification required:
M. Phil from IIPS (preferred) / MPS from IIPS (one year experience desirable) / Master's degree in Social Sciences or Mathematics or Statistics plus two years experience in survey/data collection/ DPS from IIPS and Master Degree in Social Sciences or Mathematics/ Statistics and one year experience.

c. Pay: 11,000/- P.M.

d. Age: Not more than 30 years
