HSLC examination 2009 result was declared with 57 pc of the 27,648 candidates successful. Out of the 27,648, 15,688 were declared successful with 4025 coming in the 1st division, 7555 in 2nd division and 4108 in 3rd division.
Unlike their counter parts in CBSE and ICSE examinations, boys did better than girls, with a pass % of 66 compared to the 54 pass % of the girls. Significantly 9 students secured cent per cent marks in Mathematics while 1 had a perfect score in Computer Science and another 3 achieved the landmark in Higher Mathematics.
