First edition of Assam LitArt Festival concludes

The first edition of Assam LitArt Festival had a grand conclusion in Guwahati. The LitArt Foundation will now conduct workshops to groom actors, stunt crew and handhold authors to publish their manuscripts & market their books through their national collaborations. The foundation shall also promote Assam’s craft nationwide in collaboration with other NGOs of the state that are working in the field for years.
In the two day long event renowned bollywood action director Mr Sham Kaushal with other veterans in the field of literature, art, music and filmmaking were seen. The event was graced by regional luminaries like Joi Barua and Adil Hussian, and national speakers like Pramod Pathak, Karan Singh Rathor among others.
The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Keshab Mahanta who was sent as a representative of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal has also expressed his good wishes to the foundation and the founders on completion of the fest.
The theme of this maiden edition of Assam LitArt Fest was -Celebrating Plurality of Expressions. The two day itinerary was a melange of speaker sessions, panel discussions, workshops, book launches, art exhibits and music and cultural shows.
Assam LitArt Fest has writers, filmmakers and artists from Assam hailing from Assam together and its mission is to create platforms and spaces for them to exchange ideas and collaborate with their counterparts across the nation. Incidentally this is the first festival in the country that celebrates literature, art, filmmaking, music and crafts in one platform.
