We, the undersign, is writing to inform to the general public with regard to the meeting which was held in Guwahati on the 17th of May, 2024 organised by AMCO.
We would like to inform you that we participated the event on the invitation made by AMCO to discuss about the need of the humanitarian services which are in need of the hour as large scale civilian population mainly those internally displaced and daily wage earners are being suffered due to the prevailing conflict in Manipur.
However, our participation was at the individual level not as a representative of Meitei Community neither a representative of the Meitei Civil Society.
Dr. Dhanabir Laishram raised the issue of the suffering of the internally displaced people and the suffering of the livelihoods and education of the daily wage earners.
It is further to inform that the meeting was solely on Humanitarian Services and Peace Prayer but not a “Peace Talk or Negotiations”.
We sincerely respect the sentiment and concerns of the people.
