Kanglatongbi Orphanage's Excursion on 8th July, 2012

There I realized the situation. I am not against 2nd marriage in life. In fact, if both the parties are willing they can definitely go ahead, after all the youth of life is also important to our happiness.

But does this means ditching their kids? What about them? Why don't you marry with the person who will accept you the way you are? If he/she loves you truly he/she definitely will realize that your happiness lies on your babies. And in love, there is no condition. It's just a pure feeling. If she/he loves you, there is no doubt of loving people around you too bcoz you are incomplete without them in life.

When we reach Sendra, a sudden pain wrapped me up and happiness sunk. I have seen the beautiful beauty of Loktak since my childhood; I wasn't there for the first time. But it has become an aesthetic beauty that day. I tried finding the reason of this enlarging beauty. Soon, I realized that it was bcoz I am seeing the beauty of Loktak through the eyes of those kids.

"Kakai, tired?"

I was holding his hand while walking up to Sendra. He must be 4/5 years old.

"Wai, adubu nungai." (tired but happy).

"Haha, good answer."

I am sure my friends or for that matter anybody would be willing to take up million risks just to hear it.

When we were in zoo, they threw away their tiredness and enjoyed themselves to the fullest. Even when I asked them to move to the next spot, some of them still remained stuck to the sight of Python, some at the mischievous acts of the monkeys,… with much difficulty we lined them up in queue again to came out from there.

I found a strange change in their attitude, behavior when we were in science museum. The magician called upon them selectively to join him in performing the magic tricks.

They were reluctant to go up on the stage or mingle with the people of outside their world. Inside their campus, they are like the rest of the kids - naughty, jolly and playful. Once they were taken outside their campus, they are totally changed. They seem to have some fear of seeing or mingling with the outer world. There are some kids who usually talk to me non-stop if we were in their campus. Even those kids didn't say a word. They really need more exposure to the outer world. They need many people to interact, mingle and share their thought.

Whenever I approached people, the first thing they ask me is , "Under which NGO do you work?"

I don't work under any NGO. We don't have any kind of rules, particular number of members or any features which is needed to call a NGO. Everyone can join us from lowest to the highest level. If you are a tailor teach them tailoring, if you paint teach them painting, if you are a singer teach them singing. You can help them in any manner. It's about sharing your love which they need so badly. Another question which I often got from people is, "What inspired you to help them like this?"

For this, my reply is I am in love with those kids. For loving someone you don't need any inspiration, as I said, it's falling in love. Love happen unconditionally. I don't think my mom was inspired by anything or anyone to love me or my siblings. She sacrifices herself for our need and happiness bcoz she is in love with us. Love is an abstract feeling which you can't touch, yet very powerful. It can melt the stone or solidify the water. It's what we called love.

When I was about come back from the orphanage after dropping them, aunty approached me and asked

"Sister can you do something for him?"

She was pointing to Moses. He is around 14/15 years old. His eyes were darkened by red in colour and white. I don't know how to call it in medical term. She continued. It's been said that if he didn't undergo an operation, he might end up being a blind person.

I didn't know what to say. Moses was looking at me as if I have the power to take away his ailment. But I am not a doctor. Their trust on me sometimes kills me into pieces when I am helpless. But I replied.

"Yah, sure. You don't worry."

Giving a fake smile, I moved out from there. I don't know how, what and when will I be able to make my fake smile transforms into the purest form. But I know that I and my friends would do somehow or other. Bcoz there are many other friends who will help us. In fact, unexpectedly there were many people who helped us this time too. Many students who are in Delhi and two students whose names were Manikanta and Daina even joined us on the spot.

'Finding an adequate word to let you how glad we are to you,
finding a way to express how thankful
for loving us will remain in vain
bcoz word can keeps on referring unlike our unmovable feeling,
ways are infinite unlike our stable heartbeats.
But just wanna say thanks to everyone who helped us.'
