Anyone Dares to compete to be The Most Eligible Technocrat?

Shanjoy Mairembam *

Well, many issues/crises/problems are there at my home State of "Manipur". Many people are having their own ways of thinking and working on it - whether for a constructive Manipur or for a destructive Manipur.. I am not sure, but it is sure that it is in the name of Manipur. So, this article is not regarding any of the issues as such?

But, Behold Everyone.. It is all about anyone or any person from Manipur (or can be from the whole North East India) who DAREs to have competition with People like me to be among "The Most Eligible Technocrat in the Global Business Market" in our life time.

"Life is nothing but thought" which I always believe so. It is just the thinking or the mind that make us to believe - What we are? ... Why we are born? .. What we are going to do? .. What will happen after death? ...etc. None has seen nor proved anything scientifically with reasoning. But, it is faith that moves the human society 'from the past to the present for the future'.

So, let's give a break to those thinking to those issues & problems about hatred, communalism or anything whatever happening in Manipur or elsewhere... Let's play a game that I am proposing in this article. Well, take any game; it is really indeed funny if one thinks of it logically and scientifically. For example, Football - Two teams... players playing with a ball... just kicking from one corner to another... everyone just watching ... clapping hand... when there is goal...

Indeed funny... nothing is there really to achieve... yes...for the football lovers... they will say it gives satisfaction to mind... this and that... Many more... Well, Again... India is crazy about Cricket, in most of the places... funny to think in this way of thinking - a batsman just hitting the ball thrown by another player... there... other players are just standing in the field to catch or to run out.... Yes... Indeed... Funny... nothing is there... to achieve as an end product or result... But yes... Sport lovers will say... It gives us pleasure... It makes us happy to watch the game... many more responses.

Okay... I agreed... A game is a game. So, Why not create a new game not for playing with a ball or a stick or with hand or leg ... But A game - with creative thinking brain, with full physical body, with strong faith & will. There will be a quite difference in styles of playing unlike any other games as such till today; since in this game of life, there will be no loser, but only the winners ... and the deciding factor of the game is to show "Who is the Most Eligible Technocrat in the Global Business Market" from our home state (or from the North East India). The ground rule of the competition is to do or apply anything with the positive scientific thinking and humanity, i.e. No pulling down of one another... but to compete via delivering the best of the best what one can ... to show the talent above another.

There are many software engineers working world-wide today. There are many other professionals, doctors, engineers, lawyers, businessmen, nurses, professors, Administrators, farmers, etc... We all work in our own way for our living. We do have our own thinking and lead our lives till the last breath. There are many more young fresher students going to graduate from the colleges and other institutions.

Still, they are not much aware of the reality in the society and the global market as such. So, it will be indeed a fun on self for any enthusiasts in life and career to have the proposed game I am suggesting. Let's prove ourselves to be among the best in the field we are or we are dreaming to go ahead in life. Let it be in medicine or be in agriculture, or be in genetic engineering, or in bio-technology, or in hotel & hospitality management, or in judiciary, etc. Let's propose the modality of the game in the respective fields of career.

As an example, I, being from the engineering background and being in the software industry; I would like to play this game to be among the global players in the software industry. There have been many scholars and intellectuals from Manipur in the past; and many more Heroes in many fields of life have born and pass away. But, still, in the history regarding many other fields of life, there is no chapter from fellow Manipuri's...

There has not been any Technocrat in software industry having an own software firm well recognized in the Global Market, having a high value in the stock market, having the standard of SEI -CMM/CMMi level. We have heard of many Manipuri individuals getting a hefty pay and perks in the software industry in many parts of the world.

Is the pay just the deciding factor of our thinking capability or our leadership in this career of software industry? Why not we enhance the deciding factor in our career ... like by becoming as the Group Head of a Division of a Multi National Company, or by becoming the Managing Director of own Reputed Software Firm, or by becoming Continental Head/Manager like Asia-Pacific Managing Director for a reputed Multi National Company... Well, indeed high hope...

But, a game is a game... Let's play it. None is well aware - how to approach the game, how to gather info about the game, how to share knowledge about the game... It is a new game... but... It is an interesting game for those who are really enthusiastic ... for those who dare to dream to showcase their talents in their career and life time. What's wrong in comparing with the talents of Narayana Murti of Infosys, Azim Premji of Wipro, and many other CEOs of the Indian Software industry, for the best of our career; and trying to use the learning from their life for the future dream of our careers? It is nothing but similar to many philosophers reading the biography and auto-biographies of Freedom fighters, Social Reformers, Politicians, writers, etc.

So, dear fellow professionals in the software industry and dear youngsters in the engineering colleges... Life is not ended with getting a job and getting settled in life... to be enjoyable and Fun-full in life & in the career. Learning new things ...doing things in the other way around for achieving something new ... is really indeed amazing and wonderful. Being Engineer means to think differently & act for the best of future;

As "the Engine is the heart of the Body"; once the engine malfunctions, those dignitaries on board will be in trouble on their journey. Let's be creative in thinking and let's dare to dream ... for Dreaming is the first step for the engineer & the technocrats. And let's play games/bets on the dream with the experience in our life; with due consideration of pros & cons of any thinking as such to the dream.

One day, we all will pass away when the time is over. Why not we play this game too??? Indeed it will be with lots of fun. It will be like high climbers climbing up to the top of the Mount Everest and claming "we dare to climb the tallest point on Earth"... but imagine what is there to see and feel by climbing to the tallest point on Earth. Well, it is the creative mind and enthusiastic ambitions to showcase the hidden talent in the field we are born with great hidden instincts. So, why shall we compete on something which we are not strong? We know ourselves more than others; as it is own body and our own mind which is thinking.

Well... Everyone in any field of career in life... A game is indeed a game, but just the player has to put colours to make it look fascinating and curiosity to watch. How well we play will decide... how far the younger generation loves the game???

Does anyone DARE & ready to have the competition now???
