A straight from the heart feeling in support of Laishram Sarita

A very sad day for the beautiful game of boxing!!!

"Winning is not only about winning medals, it is all about winning hearts. Sports is not only about fair play, it is also about fair decision. "

What has happened to the Indian boxer Laishram Sarita is very unfortunate. We're deeply saddened by the turn of events. The biased decision made by the match officials was really uncalled for.

It seems the very foundation of sporting spirit of fair decision is killed midway. The day will definitely be inked as a BLACK DAY in the history of the game of boxing.

The whole world knows that it indeed was a day light robbery. Had Sarita been the only victim of biased decision then we would have taken in a more positive sporting spirit way. But that wasn't the case.

India's Laishram Devendro, Mongolia's Tugstsogt Nyambayar and Phillipines' Lan Clark Batista too were the victims. The very big billion dollar question that arises at this point in time is "Who exactly is to be blamed?"

Boxer Sarita for showing her exemplary courage by standing up for her fight for righteousness or those ill-knowledged corrupt officials who indeed are a big blunder to the game of boxing?

We know that winning and loosing is very much part and partial of sports. They're the two sides of the same coin. But making a winner a looser is not in the right spirit of sports. Sarita did the right thing on the medal ceremony podium by handing over her bronze medal to the Korean boxer Jina Park. She scripted history by doing that. She did that with a pure conscience for the love of the game and respect for hard work in particular.

By doing that way she has shown the light of the day to the world that corruption should never ever have a place in sports. Not many has the guts to do such an act. So,she is very right in her firm stand of letting the sporting body know that injustice has been meted out to her. The answer of the above question fully lies on AIBA who has initiated disciplinary action against her.

If you're penalizing her then what about those filthy officials? Are you gonna spare them? Wake up AIBA , wake up!!! Your statement says and I quote "The whole incident looked like a well planned scenario by her and her team, and it is regretful to watch a boxer refuse the medal regardless of what happened in the competition."

The question that I wanna ask you here is "Who exactly was the planner? Wasn't it a pre planned move from your side to fix matches in favour of the host nation?"

"And regardless of what happened in the competition (AIBA's statement)- At the very first instance, Why did you let it happen? And will you keep on repeating this again and again?"

AIBA has to answer these questions before going for further statements and giving final decision on her. It would be worth appreciating had you teach your officials properly on how to conduct matches in a free and fair manner rather then punishing Sarita for speaking up the truth. Masking your face to hide yourself from wrong doings will always put you in dark.

If sporting competitions were to be conducted in a biased way then what is the use of having world stage sporting events? It'll surely put a murky slur on the pure sanctity of world sports. The very beautiful motto of "Higher, Faster & Stronger" will be at stake.

Dear sports loving brethren, time has come for us to unite together and start raising ONE VOICE so that this thing doesn't repeat again.

And today I'm writing this to let them know that they're not only hurting Sarita, they're hurting billion voices.

Sis Sarita, we're so proud of you. For us, you were, you're and you'll always be a WINNER.

The whole nation is behind you. Thank you very much for keeping your head held high.
