Abstract
The monetary value of the consumptions for food, healthcare, education, and other items exceeds the actual income specially among the young persons. The lifecycle deficits of excess consumptions over the labor income are met from the public programmes & schemes and familial support systems. The present research assesses the extend of public and familial supports for select Asian Countries. The method of assessment is based on the framework of National Transfer Accounts (United Nations, 2013). The findings from most of the Asian Countries contradict the general beliefs that elderly are financially supported by their children.
