Khangminashi - II : Invitation at Thoubal (Kanglei Khongyang Thijinyon)

As a part of the Science communication program of KKT, Imphal, the second interaction program of the lecture series entitled “Khangminashi” will be conducted on 19th May 2018 at the premises of New Era Hr Sec School, Thoubal.

Dr Giridhar Naorem, Jt Director, R&DE (E), DRDO, Vishrantwadi, Pune will grace the function as the resource person. He will be interacting with the students of the school and will be speaking on the various advanced materials presently used in the armaments development.

The first interaction program of the lecture series entitled “Khangminashi” was conducted on 10th May 2018 at the premises of Comprehensive Concept School, Imphal.

Dr Thokchom Dewan Singh, Scientist, AERB, Mumbai, Govt of India and Regional Chairman, SFAT, NE India, graced the function as the resource person. He interacted with the students of the school (around 100) and enlightened them with the safety aspects and regulatory norms of Atomic energy. He also mentioned about various opportunities provided by the Govt of India for an exciting career in Science and Technology. Mr Bicky and Mr Kelvin, present students of IISER, Pune also interacted with the students of the school.

The interaction program was conducted to have a better interaction of the school students with the professionals in the field of Science and Technology working all around the world.

(A lecture series by professionals)

Under the Science communication program of KKT, Imphal, the lecture series entitled “Khangminashi” is conducted to have a better interaction of the school students with the professional in the field of Science and Technology.

Scientist/Professors/Researchers who are best at their own professional area will be giving lecture and interact with the school students to nurture the young mind towards a career in Science. The main audience will be the school students preferably in Std 9-12 to motivate and enlightened them towards the exciting world of Science and Technology. Speaker will generally talk about the present state of art in research in their respective field.
