Wesean Student Federation
We, the undersigned, hereby declare the formal establishment of the Wesean Student Federation (WSF), on this solemn day of the 17th of March 2024, in pursuit of fostering unity, integrity, and purpose among
the students of Wesea. Guided by a shared vision of cross-border solidarity and the preservation of indigenous identity and rights, we commit ourselves to the following principles:
o Unity Across Artificial Borders: Defying the shackles of artificial boundaries imposed upon us by India, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, we rise united, transcending the very borders designed to confine us. We vow to tear down these barriers and stand as one, an indomitable force against tyranny and oppression.
o Integrity and Purpose: In a world plagued by deceit and self-interest, the WSF emerges as a bastion of unyielding integrity and purpose. With unshakeable resolve, we pledge to champion the cause of our people, unwavering in our dedication to truth, transparency, and justice.
o Promotion of Indigenous Identity and Rights: At the core of our mission lies a sacred duty to safeguard and elevate the indigenous identity and rights of Wesea. With righteous fury, we vow to amplify the voices of our indigenous brethren, fiercely defending their autonomy and preserving their rich cultural heritage at all costs.
o Transcending Ethnonationalism: Rejecting the divisive rhetoric of ethnonationalism, we embrace the glorious diversity within Wesea as a source of strength and resilience. We stand united against forces that seek to sow seeds of discord, celebrating our differences and fostering an inclusive environment where every student is valued and respected.
o Commitment to Wesean Unity: Above all else, the WSF is unwavering in its commitment to fostering unity, solidarity, and mutual understanding among Wesean students. Through unwavering determination and collaborative action, we vow to forge bonds that transcend ethnic, linguistic, and cultural divides, laying the foundation for a brighter future for all.
With this declaration, we embark on a journey towards a brighter future for Wesea, grounded in unity, integrity, and purpose.
For a United Wesea, We are one!
Notes from WSF
We are writing to inform you about the formation of the Wesean Student Federation, a new initiative aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by Weseans in the Northeast region and fostering greater unity and solidarity among our community members.
The Wesean Student Federation has been established in response to the growing disillusionment among Wesean students with the extreme ethnonationalist behavior exhibited by some other student groups in the Northeast. We believe that such behavior only serves to deepen divisions within our region and undermines our collective struggle for justice and equality.
Furthermore, we are also disappointed by the perceived lack of action taken by existing Northeast student unions in addressing the concerns of Weseans. We feel that our community's issues have often been sidelined or overlooked, and we are determined to change that by advocating for our rights and interests more effectively.
One of the key objectives of the Wesean Student Federation is to reach out and connect with Weseans who are divided beyond the Indian border, including those in Bangladesh and Myanmar. We recognize that Weseans across borders share similar challenges and aspirations, and we believe that by coming together, we can amplify our voices and work towards common goals more effectively.
As part of our efforts to engage with the wider community, we would like to request e-pao.net's support in announcing the formation of the Wesean Student Federation. We believe that e-pao.net's platform, being a premier and pioneering website from Manipur, will provide us with the visibility and outreach needed to connect with Weseans across the region and beyond.
We have attached a brief introduction to the Wesean Student Federation for your reference. Please feel free to publish this announcement on your website and share it with your readers.
Thank you for considering our request, and we look forward to your support in our endeavors.
