7th webinar series on Higher education & Career opportunities in USA and UK

KEN Manipur organized the 7th webinar series on 'Higher education & Career opportunities in USA and UK' on 11 Sept, 2021. Knowledge Exchange Network, Manipur (KEN) based at Boston, USA, is a voluntary organization collectively run by Manipuri professionals across the world with an aim to create career and employment opportunities for the youths through knowledge transfer and skilling by synergizing the local need and best means available in the world.
Shri Lakshmikant Laikangbam, KEN Finance Secretary hosted the event. Dr.Y.Jayanta Singh, welcomed the participants and highlighted the mission and vision of KEN.
The event was attended by youths, parents, and students from several academic Institutes and states - Assam University Silchar, Assam Don Bosco University, Banaras Hindu University, Bholanath College, BIT Mesra, D.M. College of Science, Deloitte Tax Services India Pvt. Ltd., Dept. CS & DR.BAMU, Aurangabad, DM University, Manipur, Gauhati University, IIT Guwahati, ISA LILLE, Lille, France, Johnstone higher secondary school, KP, Manipur University, Mody University, NDS Infoserv Mumbai, NIELIT Imphal, Patna, Guwahati, NERIST, SRTM. University, and The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda etc.
Two senior members of KEN presented the information to the participants. Shri Ajit Thokchom is Senior Director & Consulting Advisory Architect in one of Global IT Services Company in USA. Shri Dinesh Huidrom is an expert in IT and Financial services in UK. Both the speaker covers several topics of the respective countries –
[a] available education facilities in USA and UK,
[b] admission and visa process- SAT, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS etc.
[c] possible scholarships during the study,
[d] earning while learning etc.
[e] career opportunities in USA and UK after study and
[f] options of migration; becoming a permanent resident and citizenship.
During an interactive Q&A session, KEN members answered several questions from the participants. Shri S. Alian Vaiphei, KEN Vice President gave the Vote of thanks at the end of the event. He encouraged the participants to work very hard to pursue their career and connect to KEN members for any help.
