FC Imphal cruise past YWC in 64th CC Meet

Imphal, May 03 2023: Sekhar Tensubam Meetei scored twice to help FC Imphal United secure a convincing 4-1 victory against Youth Welfare Union to progress in the preliminary knockout stage-1 of the Babina Group 64th CC Meet at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong on Wednesday.

FC Imphal started with a bang after Sekhar opened the scoring via a penalty kick be -fore he went on to double their lead in the 42nd minute.

Then Thingujam Mask Khuman found their third goal in the final seconds of first-half added time before Seram Khambaton made it 4-0 in the 76th minute.

YWC's goal came only in the final stretch of the game through Kongkham Langomba (90+2) as FC Imphal United advance to the next stage with ease.
