1st U-13 Boys Football League Tournament KWYWA, Yairipok HS secure huge wins

Imphal, January 25 2018: KWYWA, Kiyam Wangmataba thrashed AFC, Thoubal Athokpam 4-0 while Yairipok H/S drubbed DFA-B 4-1 in today's league matches of the 1st U-13 Boys Football League Tournament organised by DFA Thoubal at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary playground, Thoubal.

In the Group A league match played yesterday, GFA, Thoubal Bamon Leikai thumped SWYC, Charangpat 2-0 while CRA, Charangpat Maning Leikai blanked HKKSA-A 5-0 in a Group B league match.

In the Group C league match played today, KWYWA scored two goals each half to notch up an overwhelming 4-0 victory over AFC.

L Bikash found the opener early in the 3rd minute while Dinesh Singh extended the lead to 2-0 through another goal in the 25th minute.

On form Dinesh netted the third goal in the 35th minute while the last goal of the day came from the foot of N Ditash in the 48th minute.

In yet another similar encounter, Yairipok H/S trounced DFA-B 4-1 in a very one sided match.

DFA-B came up with the opener in the 10th minute but their campaign in the latter part of the match ended in a mess as Yairipok grew stronger and pumped in 4 goals to earn full point today.

M Beckon and Singamayum Shami added two goals back to back in the 25th minute and 29th minute respectively and handed his team a 2-1 lead.

The second half went to Th Naresh of the winning side as he complete his brace in this half.

He struck his first goal just five minutes after the break and put his team ahead with a 3-1 lead.

Despite the huge lead, they continued to press their rivals.

DFA-B who did not show any sign of return kept their goal out of threat in the remaining minutes but consistent Naresh finally found a gap and triggered in the last goal to give his team an emphatic 4-1 victory.
