Imphal, April 16 2015 : State team for the Eastern India Powerlifting Championship to be held at SAI-SAG Hall, Khuman Lampak, Imphal from April 24-26 has been announced by the All Manipur Powerlifting Association (AMPA) .

In Men's section Rakesh Paonam (53 kg); N Arun (59 Kg); I Birjit Singh (59 Kg); S Naoba Singh (66 Kg); N Murgeshan (74 Kg); Md Aman Khan (83 Kg); K Premjit Singh (93 Kg); Yh Premojit Singh (105 Kg) and Rohan Laishram (120 Kg) made to the team.

Sh Renmy Monsang (43 kg Kg); N Romola Devi (47 Kg); M Tamphasana Devi (52 Kg); K Homeshwori Devi (57 Kg); Anandimala Devi (63 kg); Th Leima Chanu (72 Kg); K Roshida Devi (84 Kg) and Ch Heningta (+84 Kg) will compete in various weigh categories in women's section.

In addition, Rakesh Paonam (53 Kg); N Arun (59 Kg); Kh Abonao (66 Kg); Kh Jonson (74 Kg); Md Aman Khan (83 Kg); S Thoiba (93 Kg); Th Prremojit Singh ( 105 Kg) and Rohan Laishram will vie for honor in Men's Bench Press event while S Abethoi (43 Kg); Th Bidyarani (47 Kg); M Tamphasana Devi (52 Kg); K Homeshwori Devi (57 Kg); Anandimala Devi (63 Kg); Th Leima Chanu (72 Kg) and Ch Heningta (+ 84 Kg) will participate in women's section.

According to Ng Thoiba General Secretary AMPA Rk Purna Singh and L Bikram Singh will accompanied the team as Manager and Coach respectively and the selected players have to report to the office of AMPA before April 19 added Thoiba.
