Sagolband United lift 20th Winners's Cup

Imphal, October 31 2015 : Amidst "scratching" of two teams and few last minute decisions taken by the All Manipur Football Association, Sagolband United thrashed KLASA, Keinou 2-1 to lift 20th Winners' Cup 2015 .

The opening goal of the match was scored by N Dhananjoy with a superb free kick in the 14th minute of the match.

Except for this goal KLASA could not progress further in the game despite some efforts.

The first half ended in KLASA's favour.

The momentary upbeat mood enjoyed by KLASA for leading in the first half was short lived.

In the 67th minute, Sagolband United's Bikram Laishram equalized the margin with a goal scored from a kick by Somorendro.

The equalizer became the game-changer moment for the Sagolband boys.

Abay Manorhamayum netted another goal for Sagolband United in the 89th minute.

This goal sealed the fate of KLASA.

Sagolband United went home with the 20th Winners's Cup and a cash award of Rs 50,000.KLASA had to contend with the runner up trophy and a cash award of Rs 30,000 .
