State, Inter Dist Carrom Championship : Stage set for men's singles quarter finals

Imphal, September 07 2018: The quarter final line up of the men's singles competition of the ongoing 27th State Level Age Group and Inter District Carrom Championship 2018 held at Singjamei Community Hall completed today.

Imphal West's L Nganthoi cruised into the quarter final of the men's singles competition securing a 21-6, 23-3 win over Ksh Joseph Singh while Imphal West's Y Premchand overcame Imphal East's A Rabichandra by 25-7, 22-18 sets to move into the last 8 round of the same competition.

Bishnupur's G Subhash also moved into the last 8 round beating Imphal East's RK Amarjit by 25-5, 25-16 sets before Imphal West's K Nanao overwhelmed Bitan of Bishnupur 25-3, 25-0 to seal the quarter final berth.

Imphal West's K Netrajit also made himself through to the quarter final stage with a 23-0, 24-6 win over Taibanganba of Imphal East in a pre-quarter final round clash while M Madhop of Imphal East prevailed over P Sanjitkumar of Thoubal to notch up a clinical 25-0, 25-0 win over and a place in the last 8 round.

Ch Arunkumar of Imphal West also booked the last 8 round berth with a rollercoaster 14-25, 18-4, 25-8 win over A Aditya of the same district.
