International football exhibition on May 22

Wahengbam Indramani Memorial Football Academy (WIMFA) and 2 Touch Singapore will be jointly organizing an international football exhibition match between Manipur FC and Singapore FC on May 22 at 1 pm Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal.
This was stated by WIMFA Director during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club, Imphal today.
Informing that Manipur FC will comprise five foreign players from Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Cameroon, he also revealed that Singapore FC is a 1st Division football club in Singapore and their players are verified international professional players.
WIMFA's Director also said that an interactive session between the young football players of the State and the Singapore FC players will be conducted at RAU turf ground in Lamlong on the evening of May 21 .
Asserting that the Manipur still needs more exposure at the international level, although it is well known as the powerhouse of sports in India, he informed that the main objective of organizing the international exhibition is to bridge the gap between the potential of the State players and the need to meet international level for future generations.
He also said it would also provide an opportunity to the youth to choose sports instead of choosing drugs.
Maintaining that WIMFA is a sports academy based in Bangalore and established with the aim to help the young football players, he said it is consistently helping to develop football in Manipur since the last few years.
Stating that Singapore FC has been specifically chosen by WIMFA for the exhibition match in Imphal, he added that the initiative also has a perspective of Look East Policy for football in future.
