Model Club decimates DSU in veteran cricket

Imphal, March 22 2015: Robindro strikes 115 and Prem took 6 wickets in Model Club A win over DSU in the opening match of the 1st State Level Late Aribam Memorial Amutombi Sharma Memorial Veteran Cricket Championship at Langthabal Public Ground on Sunday.

Model Club's batmen responded to the call of their captain and set a competitive score by blasting DSU for 262 in 35 overs.

Robindro initiates the charge and thrashed DSU bowlers in all part of the ground at will.

Robindro was supported by Mujibur (43); Cherish (22) and H Sunil (22) .

DSU batsmen wilted under the mountains of runs set by Model and were all out for 75 runs handing over the match by 187 runs.

DSU batsmen were trapped by the medium pace of Prem, who bowl stump to stump without giving any lose balls to be hit and Chaoba's (2) left break.

Igbal also chipped in with 1 wicket.

The combined effort of Model Club halted DSU's run chase halted at 17.3 overs and walked away with the match.
