State athletes shine at National Kickboxing Championship 2025

Imphal, July 20 2025:
Athletes from Jiribam and other parts of Manipur delivered a strong performance at the National Kickboxing Championship 2025 (Seniors & Masters), with several securing top honours.
The five-day competition in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, concluded on Sunday.
Under the guidance of team coach Moirangthem Chaningkhombi Chanu and referee Khangembam Basanta Singh, the athletes delivered an impressive performance against competitors from across the country.
Gold medals were won by Yumnam Thoisana Singh (60kg K1) from Khong Ahanbi, Thoubal; Sapam Deva Singh (67kg full contact) from Khongjom, Thoubal; Mutum Bhupen (63kg K1) from Palen Mayaileikai, Kakching; Y Lasmi Devi from Nungchapi, Jiribam, who clinched double gold in the 45kg kick light and 45kg light contact events; and Thiyam Omila from Ningthembam, Jiribam, who also bagged two gold medals in the 40kg point fighting and 40kg light contact categories.
Bronze medals went to Soraisam Tondonba Singh (60kg low kick) from Itham Mamang Leikai, Imphal East; Ahongsangbam Haridas Singh (54kg K1) from Charangpat Mayai Leikai, Imphal East; and Mutum Yaiphabi Devi (50kg kick light) from Kalinagar, Jiribam.
