Imphal, November 01 2012: Sainik School Imphal conducted its Inter-House Cross Country Race today with Principal Col (Dr) Ravi Kumar flagging off the race participated by cadets from Netaji, Raman, Shivaji and Tagore Houses.

According to a PIB (DW) release, the competition is organised by the school every year with a concrete aim of inculcating sportsmanship and esprit-de-corps amongst the cadets.

Overall, Raman House bagged the Champions Trophy whereas Shivaji House finished runners-up.

In the individual category, Cdt Sahensilta of Tagore House secured first position while Cdt Shidaba ( Class XI) of Shivaji House and Cdt Tadang Rai (Class XI) of Netaji House secured the second and third position respectively.

Champion house and individual winners were awarded with trophy, cash prizes and medals by the principal, the release said.
