CDCC vs PSC in MNCA Plate Tourney final, both earn Super Plate promotion

CDCC-Sagolband Salam Leikai will lock horns with PSC-Thangmeiband Polem Leikai in the title clash of the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament.
CDCC defeated OSCAR in the first semi-final match at Moijing Public Ground and PSC defeated IBSA in the second semi-final match at Lairenjam Public Ground today to seal their final berths and earned promotion to Super Plate Group.
At Thoubal Moijing, CDCC stacked up 198 for 7 in allotted 35 overs after opting to bat first and restricted OSCAR to 100 within 28.2 overs for the comprehensive win courtesy a frugal bowling effort led by Jodiba (4/34 in 7 overs).

Ataur Rahaman starred with a 57-ball 62 for CDCC after Monish Meitei (45) and N Priyojit (37) played their parts.
The innings saw Bijendra (3/49 in 7 overs) and Rinku (2/35 in 7 overs) leading OSCAR's bowling attack.
In reply, Santosh Singh 22, Lann Singh 14 and Rinku Salam 13 were main run getters for OSCAR as Khurshid (2/11), FM Shariff (1/18), Robert (1/7) and Ataur (1/2) assisted Jodiba in throttling the chase.
Ataur Rahaman who produced an allround performance was adjudged man of the match.
PSC in the meantime secured a 47 run victory over IBSA by posting a commendable total of 223 runs for 9 in 40 overs thanks to a century from Prasantajit and skittling out the later team for 176 runs in 36.1 overs despite Rajababu's fight 63 off 79 balls and Lenba's 33 .
Prasantajit smashed a 107-ball 124 to lead PSC to a huge total after the team elected to bat first while Sagarjit and Ibungomacha scored identical 17 runs.
Tamim and Heromen picked two wickets each in this innings before they stumbled at 176 runs in the chase with Kenny (4/38 in 8 overs) and Ibungomacha (4/37 in 7.1 overs) of PSC rattling their line up with their impressive bowling performances.
Prasantajit who shone with the bat was adjudged man of the match.
The final match is scheduled on December 4 at Moijing Public Ground.
